Product description
This bust is made after the classical busts of the Greek philosopher Socrates. Socrates was a classical Greek Athenian philosopher. He is seen as one of the founders of western philosophy, but he is especially known through writings of later classical authors, especially by his students Plato and Xenophon, and by the plays written by his contemporary: Aristophanes. A lot of people claim that the dialogues by Plato are the most elaborate reports about Socrates that have survived antiquity.
This bust is made of plaster alabaster with an antique patina layer. It measures approx. 24 cm. It is delivered without the marble stand.
